Our horses work hard to take care of our guests. When they are ready to retire we take care of them for the rest of their lives.
Dallas is a happy and kind quarter horse gelding. He is in his late twenties yet still healthy and strong. Dallas still occasionally will do a pony ride for a little one!
This handsome gentleman was one of our dependable kids trail horses. He is a quarter horse gelding in his late twenties. Before Rooster was apart of our herd he worked with cattle on a beef cattle ranch. He has earned every sunny day of retirement!
Judge joined our herd a few years ago, we adopted him from S.A.F.E.R Horse Rescue. He LOVED his job and was extremely dedicated and enthusiastic however was forced into retirement due to a bad heart murmur. Every time he see us he calls to us and greets us at the gate!
Cheetah is a retired race horse that traded his racing shoes in for hiking boots. His racing career was short with 14 starts (races). In those 14 races he ran 1st 4 times, ran 2nd 4 times and ran #rd 2 times. Very impressive!
Quinn is one of our trail horses. She is currently retired because we is recovering from an injury she got in the pasture. She may eventually go back to light work when she is fully rehabbed. Either way she will stay with us for life.
Mouse is actually a younger horse, she has very light colored eyes and has developed severe moon blindness. She can still get around the pasture with the other retired horses however, she needed to give up her trail career.
Mouse is expecting her first foal February 2022
Lucky has put in his time on the trail and earned himself a cushy retirement. He is very sweet and still nickers a greeting when we come to the pasture.
Monte is retired at the moment. We are trying to find a treatment that will work for his sore knee. He is king of the pasture!
